Description
This bomb in construction is exactly the same as the 20 pound AN-M41. However, it is used against invading bombardment formations. For this purpose, the only change in the complete round is a change in the fuze from AN-M110A1 to the T7E1 which is a mechanical time and impact fuze.
This bomb is still in the experimental stage not in so far as the bomb body or fin assembly is concerned, for it has the standard body and fin assembly, but in so far as the fuze is concerned. The difficulty arises in timing the fuze so as to function the bomb near the proper place to produce effective fragments.
