Description
The CBU-3/A is designed to be mounted on Air Force aircraft F-100 and F-105 and Navy aircraft F4. It is an anti materiel munition and is used against materiel such as tanks, armored cars, armored personnel carriers, and parked aircraft. The dispenser contains 19 thin-walled, anodized aluminum tubes that are loaded with 371 bombs BLU-7/B. The dispenser is designed to release simultaneously all 19 tubes of bombs with a single application of the pilot's firing button.
