Description
Another charge was developed for firing in zones 5, 6, and 7, and is designated M2 (white bag) to distinguish it for firing in the outer zones. The M2 has powder ballistically equal to the first five zones of fire incorporated into one bag or base. Zones 6 and 7 in separate bags are strapped to this base charge. The M2 Charge being for the same weapons is about the same size and weight as the old propelling charge including all seven zones. With this arrangement, by using the M1 (green bag) Charge for firing in the inner zones, the zone 6 and 7 increments are not wasted.
