Description

The UI-TM-60 is a widely used training mine developed by the former Soviet Union. Smoke effects are incorporated in the functional fuze for use in exercises. When a tank track runs over this mine, the lid compresses two springs and continues downward to shear two copper shear pins. The shearing action allows two balls, involved in the load limiter, to fall aside and release the striker. The striker detonates the primer on the SP-60 signal cartridge. The primer initiates a pyrotechnic delay, and after 3 to 4 seconds the signal charge is ignited. The SP-60 emits two red and two green stars. The UI-TM-60 can also be electrically command detonated and is reusable.

The mine is OD green.
